Welcome to the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (GCM/NCD) Communities of Practice (CoPs) portal.

GCM/NCD CoPs are closed online networks of people with expertise that pertains to a certain theme related to the Global Action Plan for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), 2013-2020 and the NCD-related targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. CoPs constitute a virtual safe space where researchers, policy-makers, practitioners and other stakeholders working on NCD responses can network and communicate, exchange resource materials, tools, effective practices and experiences. In other words, CoPs are tools to facilitate knowledge networking and collaborative learning between key stakeholders around the world involved in the prevention and control of NCDs.

CoPs are closed to the general public so no one can view the discussions conducted or resources shared on the platform unless they are members of the CoP. Information shared on a CoP is also synthesized in the form of a virtual working group or annual report which will be made public through the WHO publications process.

If you would like to become a member of a CoP, please find a list of existing CoPs below with links to their respective registration pages. Please download our advocacy flyer here here.
